Energetic Somatic Therapy

Body-based sessions that integrate nervous system work and subtle energy for deeper healing

Energetic Somatic Therapy with Vivananda Gaia, Reiki Grandmaster, is a body-based session that includes touch (Reiki), energy awareness, and deep emotional processing.

This work supports a return to internal coherence by helping your system process and release what feels stagnant, overwhelming, or out of alignment. Rather than working primarily through conversation, sessions invite your attention inward—where patterns can be sensed, felt, and reorganized at the level they are held.

Restoring Flow and Regulation

When your system is under strain, it can feel like energy is stuck, scattered, or difficult to settle. You may notice fatigue, emotional heaviness, heightened sensitivity, or a sense of disconnection from yourself.

Energetic Somatic Therapy works directly with these states—supporting shifts toward regulation, clarity, and a more settled internal rhythm.

Sessions may include:

  • Reiki (hands-on or hovering)
  • somatic tracking and guided awareness
  • grounding and nervous system support

Shamanic-Informed Processes (Optional)

For those who feel open to it, sessions can also include shamanic-informed approaches such as guided journeying or imagery-based exploration.

These processes can help access deeper layers of the psyche—particularly where experiences are not easily reached through conscious thought alone. This may support insight, emotional resolution, or a sense of reconnection with parts of self that have been held out of awareness.

This aspect of the work is always optional and guided by your comfort. It is offered within a paced, grounded, and trauma-informed container.

Working With Subtle Patterns

This work may include attention to relational, emotional, or energetic patterns that feel repetitive or difficult to shift through conventional approaches alone.

In some cases, clients experience this as a sense of “unhooking” from thought or behavioural patterns, followed by increased clarity or emotional space.

Over time, this allows new responses to emerge more naturally without needing to override or manage yourself in the same way.

Integration and Embodiment

The intention of this work is integration—not just experience.

As your system reorganizes, you may notice:

  • a greater sense of internal spaciousness
  • improved emotional regulation
  • increased clarity in decision-making
  • a felt sense of returning to yourself

Changes tend to emerge gradually and naturally, as the system no longer needs to hold patterns in the same way.

Integrative Approach

Energetic Somatic Therapy can be experienced on its own or as an adjunct to your regular counselling sessions.

For clients already engaged in therapy, sessions can be combined with approaches such as EMDR— on the table with the energetic support of Reiki—allowing for a more internal, and at times imagery-rich, processing experience.

Is This Work Right for You?

This approach may be a good fit if:

  • you feel stuck despite insight or previous therapy
  • your experience is more felt than verbal
  • you are drawn to body-based or energy-oriented work
  • you sense that something deeper is ready to shift

If you’re unsure, a consultation can help determine fit.
